Mia Moda Compagno Tandem Strollers

The Mia Moda Compagno tandem is a new breed of stroller commonly called "a stroller and a half". Not quite a double stroller but definitely more than a single stroller. Instead of two seats, the front seat is car seat compatible while there is a standing board with handle bars and resting pad behind for an older child. Your older toddler can stand or sit, as they feel like it.

The front seat has three reclining positions and goes back further than many front seats. Most brands of infant car seat can be accommodated securely in the front seat. There is a large canopy with a window to see the baby as well as a sun visor when a bit of extra sun protection is needed. The back seat flips up to reveal a nice large storage basket where you can stash the diaper bag and other necessities.

There is a detachable front tray with cupholder as well as a convenient parent tray, also with cupholder. One nice feature is that the handle is adjustable, although it doesn't go up enough for tall parents. The large front-swivel wheels are lockable when needed and make travel over rougher surfaces quite easy. The stroller has all wheel suspension to provide a smooth, comfortable ride for the children.

What We Think

The Mia Moda Compagno stroller would be best suited for a family with a newborn and a toddler or two toddlers who are a year or two apart in age. While this stroller is larger than a single stroller, it is not nearly as large as a full tandem double so it is easier to maneuver and can be taken most any where without a problem. It is rather heavy so taking it in and out of a car might be difficult but it would be great for leaving ready to roam the neighborhood at a moment's notice.
